C&F’s VALOR Employee Resource Group teamed up with Operation Homefront for a Star-Spangled Babies® baby shower last week. The event held at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in Cookstown, NJ, gave our employees the opportunity to serve 50 military families by providing baby supplies to moms-to-be at no cost.
“The members and allies of VALOR know first-hand how important is to have support, so we welcomed the opportunity to help these military families through community service,” said Nick Cook, Chief Risk Officer. “Giving back to those who made – and continue to make – sacrifices for our country is deeply rewarding and we are proud to do what we can.”
VALOR’s mission is to unite veterans, active National Guard/Reserve members, military families, and allies within our organization and create spaces that facilitates mentoring, networking, career development and community outreach.
Operation Homefront has been proudly serving America’s military families since 2002, by providing relief and recurring family support programs and services to help them overcome short-term difficulties so they don’t become long-term hardships.
